Digital Camera Sensor Problems

Found this on slashdot: Apparently several digital camera models are failing due to faulty sensors which allow moisture in. The following manufacturers have published service advisories:
Canon, Fujifilm, Konica, and Sony. The service advisories all list affected models and seem (to me at least) to indicate that any required repairs will be free.
